At present, the commonly used roller rod materials are alumina ceramics, silicon carbide and stainless steel. Due to the characteristics of its rollers, the operating temperature of the roller kiln is limited.

The optimization of the kiln structure and the improvement of the masonry process can also make the roller hearth kiln suitable for conditions such as oxidizing atmosphere and inert atmosphere, and can be applied to lithium battery anode and cathode electrode materials, ultra-pure alumina powder, high-purity zirconia powder, Materials such as magnetic materials, catalysts, rare earth oxides, powder metallurgy, and electronic components are sintered in an environment not exceeding 1320°C.

The roller hearth kiln is a main sintering kiln for the pursuit of large production capacity and good sintering environment in the field of new materials. The conventional consumables basically include the following types of sagger (crucible), heating elements (electric heating wire rod, silicon carbide rod), moving plate, rollers, heating element sleeves, etc.
